FreeWave Technologies, Boulder, CO, has expanded its IO Expansion family of wireless data radios with the IOE-X-4422PC serial base, the GFR2-IO-IOE radio base, and the IOE-X-4422-P expansion module. The serial base lets you add local IO to any serial equipment or wireless network. The radio base provides a wireless base for IO expansion to any new or existing FGR serial network with up to 60 miles LOS. The expansion module offers universally configurable IO expansion to either the radio or serial base, with up to 12 IO points/module. You stack up to 16 modules on the radio or base module. Applications include oil and gas automation, agriculture, wastewater treatment, and monitoring and control.
