GX data radios from FreeWave Technologies, Boulder, CO, operate in the 2.4 GHz spectrum and offer FCC, IC, ETSI, and UL Class 1 Div. 2 compliance in a single device. The GXCP is suited for cathodic protection applications, the GXM offers the same footprint as the company's MM2 900 MHz radio for use in industrial and manufacturing applications, and the GX-C is suited for use in oil and gas, water/wastewater, and other industries with similar SCADA applications. Features include Linear Power Adjustment that lets the output power of the radio be specified in dBm; 20 mile transmission range (LOS); ability to operate as a master, slave, repeater, or slave/repeater; built-in filtering for overload immunity and sensitivity; and low power consumption.
