Vaisala Oyj, Helsinki, Finland, offers the WMT700 WINDCAP ultrasonic wind sensor for monitoring wind conditions in extremely cold climates with heavy snow and ice conditions with option for full-body heating of the unit. Features include measurement by ultrasonic sound wave in ranges up to 75 m/s; data output 0.25 s; heating to 250 W; no moving parts; and self-diagnostics. Applications include aviation and wind energy industries.
