The SimpleLink Wi-FI CC3000 from Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, TX, is a self-contained 802.11 network processor that lets you add Internet connectivity to any embedded application. The device manages TCP, IDP, and IP onchip and runs on any low-cost microcontroller without the need for an operating system. It is self-contained and provides FCC, IC, and ETSI RF compliance. The turnkey development kit is based on the company's MSP430 FRAM MCU.
