The Multi-Sense 231RS from Setra Systems Inc., Boxborough, MA, is a multiconfigurable wet-to-wet differential pressure transducer with remote sensors and 4 unidirectional and bidirectional switch-selectable pressure ranges. Other features include field-selectable 4–20 mA, 0–5 VDC, 1–5 VDC, and 0–10 VDC output choices; pushbutton zero and remote zero capabilities; a jumper-selectable port swap; cast aluminum construction with NEMA4-rated housings; and an optional LCD. For remote sensing, the sensors are installed directly into the pipe, with electrical connection between the sensors and the main housing via cables or conduit. Applications include energy systems management, process control, liquid or gas flow measurement, and pressurized vessel liquid level measurements.
