The SS345PT and SS445P from Honeywell Sensing and Control, Minneapolis, MN, are unipolar Hall effect digital position sensors with built-in pull-up resistors. The SS345PT responds to a single North pole while the SS445P responds to a single South pole; the open collector output with built-in pull-up resistor interfaces with common electronic circuits. Enhanced sensitivity lets the sensors work with smaller and less-expensive magnets. Designed for high-volume, cost-sensitive position and motion sensing applications, the sensors can be used for commercial, industrial, and medical applications and are supplied on tape and reel (SS345PT) or in bulk packaging (SS445P).
