Morgan Technical Ceramics ElectroCeramics, Stourport, U.K., offers 20 mm dia. ceramic ultrasonic sensors that give accurate gas flow measurement for acoustic anemometry systems and smart metering systems for measuring natural gas usage. The sensors can also be used for air-coupled level measurement of liquids and solids and can provide 1D, 2D, or 3D information. The pieozceramic devices have no moving parts and calculate gas flow by measuring the time of flight of sound waves through the fluid. The sensors offer excellent bandwidth, sensitivity, and temperature stability. (International: +44 (0)1299-872210, fax +44 (0)1299-872218,
