ULP Wireless SoCs from Nordic Semiconductor

The nRF51822 and nRF51422 from Nordic Semiconductor ASA, Oslo, Norway, are ultra-low-power (ULP) Flash-based wireless SoCs that feature a multiprotocol 2.4 GHz radio and 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 based processor. The nR51822 multiprotocol Bluetooth low-energy/2.4 GHz proprietary RF SoC offers SPI, 2-wire, ADC, and quadrature decoder peripherals; up to 4 dBm output power in all modes; 16 programmable peripheral interconnect (PPI) channels; advanced power management; sub 10 mA peak currents running off a 3 V coin battery; and a ±250 ppm 32 kHz RC oscillator. The nRF51422 is an ANT SoC that is identical to the nRF51822 but is supplied, preprogrammed, with the S210 software stack, which includes Dynastream Innovation's ANT protocol stack.
