The GT3000 family from Detector Electronics (Det-Tronics) Corp., Minneapolis, MN, consists of electrochemical fixed-point detectors that provide nonintrusive calibration, communication via 4–20 mA and HART, and the ability to swap sensors without declassifying hazardous areas. Sensors are available to detect hydrogen sulfide, oxygen, carbon monoxide, ammonia, chlorine, hydrogen, and sulfur dioxide. Each detector consists of a GTX transmitter and a GTS sensor module and features automatic sensor recognition and local event logging. The transmitter generates a 4–20 mA output signal with HART proportional to the concentration of the target gas. The GT3000 is approved as stand-alone device.
