Series 11000 sensors from Sensor Developments Inc., Orion, MI, are designed to simultaneously measure both torsion and thrust loads and are typically used in test systems to characterize elastomeric materials and components. F.S. torque/thrust measurement capabilities are from 250 in.-lb. up to 100 kin.-lb. Sensors can be vacuum rated and cross-talk compensated. Applications include characterizing quality and durability of production components for suspensions, drive-trains, steering controls, brakes, and other ride-handling components.
