FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology Inc., Irvine, CA, offers the TFF400 reaction torque sensor with a USB digital interface with 16-bit resolution. The sensor features a flange-to-flange mount with torque measurements from ±5 in.-oz. to 500 in.-lb., nonlinearity of ±0.2%, torsional stiffness of 325 in.-oz./radians to 199,000 in.-lb./radians, operating temperature range of –60°F to 200°F, overload protection for low-capacity units, and anodized aluminum construction. The device uses metal foil strain gauges and is suited for use in fastener testing, engine testing for automotive and aerospace, automotive brake testing, and prosthetic limb testing.
