The 3.35 by 2.50 by 0.98 mm ADMP801 from Analog Devices Inc., Norwood, MA, is a bottom-ported, omnidirectional MEMS microphone designed specifically for hearing aid applications. The device features a microphone EIN of 27 dBA SPL, 17 µA at 1 V current consumption, and stable response over time, temperature, and environmental changes. Offered in a tiny surface-mount package, the device is reflow-solder-compatible with no sensitivity degradation. You can also use multiple ADMP801s in an array to form a directional response, facilitating sound-of-voice localization.
