The Proline t-mass 150 thermal mass flowmeter from Endress+Hauser Inc., Greenwood, IN, measures mass flow, gas temperature, free air delivery, and corrected volume for gases such as compressed air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and argon. Mass flow measuring range is up to 2.4 million lb./hr. with negligible pressure loss; operating temperature range is –40°C to 100°C; operating pressure range is up to 580 psi. The device features an embedded Gas Engine (flow computer) that lets you change between gases without the need for recalibration, 100:1 turndown, a 4–20 mA output with HART, a pulse/frequency switch output, and CSAus and ex approvals for use in Class 1, Div. 2 areas.
