Surge Device Protects Sensitive Signal/Data Lines

The Model 1840 surge protective device (SPD) features response/clamping voltages that protect against surge currents in excess of 10,000A on an 8/20 µS waveform. It supports working voltages of 5V, 12V, and 24V and is compatible with RS-232, RS-422, RS-423, and RS-485 EIA interfaces as well as with 4 mA to 20 mA and 50 mA instrumentation loops.
