The 6202 Series of strain gauge signal conditioning modules from Calex Mfg. Co. Inc., Concord, CA, provide excitation, amplification, and filtering for any strain-gauge-based measurement or control system. Excitation voltage is 10 VDC fixed, with up to 30 mA of current to enable the module to drive a single 350 ohm load cell/strain gauge. Features include fixed gain options from 2–2965, amplifier output of 0–10 VDC standard rated at –3 V to 15 VDC, a built-in 10 Hz 2-pole filter, temperature coefficient of 0.005%/°C, and ±0.01% linearity. Powered by 24 VDC, the modules have a shielded 1 in. by 2 in. case attached to a mounting flange and are suited for mounting against a load cell, structural member, or backplane.
