The Remora from Ocean Optics Inc., Dunedin, FL, is a plug-and-play adapter that lets you connect to one of the company's spectrometers remotely, over a Wi-Fi or Ethernet network, to capture real-time data and control the spectrometer's parameters. The device is compatible with the HR4000, HR2000+, and QE65000 spectrometers; installs via USB; and leaves GPIO connections free. Through the Remora's user interface you can collect data, export spectral data, and change acquisition parameters. A log file tracks current and past setups.
