Single Photon Counter from AUREA AUREA Technology October 9, 2011 The SPD_B from AUREA Technology, Besançon, France, is a high-performance single photon counting module for short near-IR wavelengths (1000–1350 nm). The ultra-low-noise device includes a Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode and thermoelectric coolers for detection efficiency up to 30%, dark count rate <5.10–6 ns/gate, and timing jitter <180 ps. The all-in-one single photon counter comes with a GUI compatible with LabVIEW and C++. Applications include fluorescence lifetime, photoluminescence, spectroscopy, and time-correlated single-photon counting. |
