The MVL multiple scanner system from BinMaster, Lincoln, NE, integrates multiple point measurement data from two 3DLevelScanners to provide improved inventory accuracy for large vessels. The system combines the 3DLevelScanners with a controller to aggregate the data, 3D Vision software to be loaded onto a PC, and a 3DLinkPro modem for remote access to the scanners. Generally, one scanner is mounted near the center and the other 8–10 ft. from the outer perimeter. The scanners take multiple measurements of the material surface that are then converted by the software into a visual representation of the material surface.
