The Endevco Model 4416B from Meggitt Sensing Systems, San Juan Capistrano, CA, is a portable, compact, low-noise battery-powered signal conditioner and power supply. The device supports ISOTRON IEPE-type accelerometers; prepolarized condenser microphones and preamplifiers; precalibrated microphone and preamplifier combination sets; and low-cost array measurement microphones. It supplies power to the transducer from a constant 4.7 mA source with selectable 1 or 10 gain. Rechargeable NiCd batteries provide 8 hr. of continuous operation (charger included); the unit is fully operational during the recharging cycle and an LED notifies you of a short, open, or normal operating condition. Applications include aerospace, automotive, industrial, and general in-laboratory testing.
