Analog Devices Inc., Norwood, MA, offers the ADM2587E and ADM2582E RS-485/422 transceivers, each of which has an integrated isolated power converter. Both devices feature data-line and power isolation, carrying a 2.5 kV isolation rating; ±15 kV ESD protection on bus pins; and a 10 by 13 mm SMT package. The devices integrate a line driver, line receiver, oscillator, rectifier, regulator, and transformers in their single-chip packages. Applications include PLCs, DCSs, motor controls, building control systems, industrial fieldbus, and telecom equipment.
