The LT100 from SENA Technologies Inc., San Jose, CA, converts RS-232 signals to RS-422 or RS-485 signals and vice versa. The converter supports a max. communication distance of up to 1.2 km and max. serial speed of 921.6 Kbps and does not require any software driver installation. You select RS-422/RS-485 mode with a slide switch. In RS-422 mode the converter supports up to 10 devices and in RS-485 mode it supports up to 32 devices. Features include a built-in surge protector up to 15 kV, status LEDs, and RTS auto toggling.
