The ZSSC3131, ZSSC3135, ZSSC3136, and ZSSC3138 from ZMD AG, Dresden, Germany, are smart sensor signal conditioner ICs for use with resistive bridge sensing elements such as silicon or ceramic-based piezoresistive transducers or thin-/thick-film or gauge-type sensor elements. All of the ICs provide an analog ratiometric voltage output, operate with supply voltages from 4.5–5.5 V, and have operating temperature ranges from –40°C to 125°C and –40°C to 150°C. Input signal measurement accuracies are within ±0.25% F.S.O. at –25°C to 85°C and ±0.50% F.S.O. at –40°C to 125°C. The ZSSC3135 and ZSSC3138 offer basic sensor connectivity checks while the ZSSC3136 offers a complete set of SIL-compliant sensor diagnostics. The ZSSC3135 and ZSSC3136 offer an external sensor temperature measurement for onchip temperature compensation. (U.S. 208-478-7200)
