Freespace MotionEngine Lite software from Hillcrest Laboratories Inc., Rockville, MD, is compatible with 8-bit microcontrollers and uses data from accelerometers and gyroscopes to provide high-performance cursor controls for the Smart TV market. The software is available for TI's ZigBee RF4CE and Bluetooth low-energy microprocessors and features orientation (or roll) compensation, real-time sensor calibration, and precise cursor control. The software can also support cursor gestures through integration with the company's host-based Gesture Recognition Engine. Freespace MotionEngine Lite is available through a license with the company.
