California Eastern Laboratories, Santa Clara, CA, offers its ZIC2410 Series integrated RF transceiver SoC for ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 applications. The device combines the ZigBee-compliant RF transceiver with an 8051-based 8-bit microprocessor and features 8 dBm output power, –98 dBm receiver sensitivity, 106 dB link budget, 1.5–3.3 V operating voltage, 96 KB of Flash memory, and 8 KB of data memory. Power consumption is 30.6 mA (QN48 package) or 29.7 mA (VFBGA72 package) in transmit mode, 33.2 mA in receive mode, and 0.3 µA in standby mode. The microprocessor offers a robust set of peripherals.
