Powercast Corp., Pittsburgh, PA, offers the P1110 and P2110 Powerharvester receivers that convert radio waves into usable energy. The P1110 is designed for battery charging and supports user-configurable output voltages up to 4.2 V. The P2110 is designed for battery-free devices, supports user-configurable, regulated output voltages up to 5.25 V, and has I/O for interfacing to microcontrollers for more intelligent system control. Both devices can provide received signal strength indication (RSSI) as well as data, which are included in a power broadcast.
