MoWi sensors from Monnit Corp., Salt Lake City, UT, use an integrated 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g FCC/CE-certified radio transmitter that lets them work with new and existing WiFi networks globally. MoWi sensors are available in 12 popular sensing types, including temperature, humidity, door and window open/close, motion, water, activity, dry contact, and button. The sensors complement the company's existing line of wireless sensors. MoWi sensors communicate through existing WiFi networks to iMonnit, an online data monitoring system, that aggregates sensor information and sends notifications via text or email if user-defined conditions are met or exceeded.
