MK26 reed sensors from Meder Electronic Inc., West Wareham, MA, are 32 by 10 by 6 mm, consume no power, and are magnetically operated. Suited for use in alarm systems, liquid level sensors with floats, position detection, and end position sensing in door and window controls and HVAC applications, the sensors are designed for screw mounting, with the sensor mounted on a fixed surface and the actuating magnet on the moving surface. Switching power ranges from 0–100 W and switching voltages range from 0–100 VDC. The sensors are available in 4 Ampere-turns (AT) ranges (B, C, D, and E) and three contact forms, A (NO), B (NC), and C (changeover).
