Radio Module for WSN from Cermetek Cermetek Microelectronics Inc. January 22, 2012 The 900 MHz CH4390 FHSS transceiver for wireless sensor networks from Cermetek Microelectronics Inc., Milpitas, CA, can serve as network coordinator, remote sensor node, or repeater node. The radio uses a proprietary scheme for remote sensor networking that was developed with Sandia National Laboratories. Features include optimization for rapid synchronization, extended battery life, and max. range; SensorOnAir feature that lets the network coordinator read/control sensors and actuators connected to a remote CH4390; and support for up to five 12-bit analog inputs and 12 programmable digital I/O. Applications include process controls, infrastructure monitoring, and environmental monitoring. |
