PX5500 Series pressure transducers from Omega Engineering Inc., Stamford, CT, are available in ranges from 0–15 psi to 0–10,000 psi and 0–1 bar to 0–700 bar, with 10 yr. MTBF rate and 0.1% accuracy stable over an 18 month period. Output is 4–20 mA. The sensor's microgeometry design provides a small, low-mass sensor that reduces the effects of mechanical vibration and shock. Applications include testing, R&D and engineering test labs, flight testing, gas turbine and engine test stands, and hydraulic systems.
