iWatt Inc., Campbell, CA, offers their W1766 + iW628 and iW1767 + iW628 power-adapter chipsets for its PrimAccurate PWM controller platform to enable fast standby recovery. The iW628 is an adaptive voltage position monitor that works with the iW1766 and iW1767 to improve dynamic load response (DLR) by providing an ultra-fast wake up signal to the primary-side regulator in the event of a sudden power-load change. The iW1766 is optimized for up to 12 w, <10 mW standby power consumption and the iW1767 is optimized for up to 24 W, <20 mW standby power consumption. The chipsets also feature user-configurable 5-level cable drop compensation and adaptive multimode PWM/PFM.
