The Nomad portable fiber-optic thermometer from Neoptix Inc., Quebec City, QC, Canada, operates on standard AA rechargeable batteries and stores temperature readings on SD cards. It is compatible with all of the company's fiber-optic temperature probes and sensors, including the T2 model for transformer hot-spot monitoring, and is also compatible with former Nortech-Fibronic probes. Features include an RS-232 serial port, a 160 by 160 pixel LCD, and SnapLog data logging, that lets you save only one temperature value each time you press the SnapLog key.
