MLV41-8-HV photoelectric sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs Inc., Twinsburg, OH, are designed for use in printing, paper, and converting operations. The sensors have advanced optics to identify paper dust build-up, forgiving mounting tolerances, and a metal housing that is immune to acids and alkalis. Features include integral foreground and background suppression functionality and the company's 4-in-1 output that lets the sensor detect the connected load and select the appropriate output type. Sensors are highly immune to ambient light and crosstalk. Applications include web-break detection of colored papers, reflective or glossy materials, adhesive films, and packaging media in printing, paper, and converting applications.
