MAZeT GmbH, Jena, Germany, offers the TIAM4 module that incorporates multiple color sensors and the entire sensor electronics onchip. Photocurrents of the spectral operating detector are converted into voltages and made available via sample and hold on a multiplexer on the output side as an analog voltage signal for digital conversion. The TIA-based amplifier has individually programmable transimpedance over 3 levels and provides good linearity and low noise. The compact sensor module is suitable for fast and/or portable color measurements when combined with a suitable light source.
