The Model SCD-8 from Love Controls Div., Dwyer Instruments Inc., Michigan City, IN, is a multiloop, DIN rail mount temperature controller with an optional display. The controller can control up to 8 independent PID control circuits. The base unit is supplied with 4 thermocouple or RTD input channels; additional input cards are available. For more than 8 loops or to mix input channel types, you can add SCD-2000 slave modules. Each control loop can be programmed through RS-485 communications or by using an optional plug-in LED display module.
