The XUM Optimum miniature photoelectric sensor from Schneider Electric Sensor Competency Center, Dayton, OH, offers ranges up to 5 m in polarized retroreflective mode, 15 m in throughbeam mode, and 0.77 m in diffuse mode. The plug-and-play sensor can withstand up to 40,000 lux natural light/10,000 lux incandescent light. Other features include an IP67 rating for PBT plastic models and IP67, IP69K, and IP67G ratings for SS models. Applications include packaging, conveyors, assembly line, food and beverage, and material handling.
