The HMC6343 from Honeywell, Phoenix, AZ, is a miniature tilt-compensated chip-scale electronic compass. The device combines the 3-axis AMR sensors, 3-axis MEMS accelerometers, ASICs, and a microprocessor in a 9 by 9 by 1.9 mm LCC package. The device can produce better than ±3° heading accuracy and ±1° accuracy for pitch and roll angle readings. Supply voltage range is 2.7–3.6 V.
