The Series MVA mini-vane thermoanemometer from Dwyer Instruments Inc., Michigan City, IN, can (depending on the model) measure air velocity, volume flow, temperature, RH, and barometric pressure. Suited for spot measurements at air outlets, the device has a 30 mm dia. vane, a 4-digit LCD, data hold, user-selectable units, ability to record max. and min., storage of up to 99 air velocity records, and auto-shutoff. The MVA-02 can detect air flows up to 4921 fpm and temperatures up to 60°C; the MVA-03 adds humidity measurement from 0%–100% RH with high accuracy; the MVA-04 can do all three of the above while adding absolute pressure measurement from 350–1100 hPa.
