The BOS 6k from Balluff Inc., Florence, KY, is a miniature 32 by 20 by 12 mm photoelectric sensor capable of reliably identifying transparent objects regardless of their shape, color, or composition. The retroreflective sensor offers low hysteresis and uses autocollimation to ensure high switching accuracy. A built-in polarizing filter suppresses interference such as reflections, increasing process reliability. The sensor uses a pulsed visible red light to increase ambient light rejection and make setup and adjustment easier.
