MEMS Sensing Modules from Silicon Designs

Single-axis 2220 and 2240 Series MEMS capacitive accelerometer modules from Silicon Designs Inc., Issaquah, WA, are designed to monitor aircraft vibration for military and commercial aircraft OEMs and their associated test facilities. The modules offer measurement stability, respond to AC and DC acceleration, are low-power devices, and provide reliable high- and low-temperature operation. Sensors are 9–32 VDC powered and have either a buffered ±4 V differential or 0.5–4.5 V single-ended output. In ranges of 5 g, 10 g, and 25 g, the modules can be used for aircraft flutter applications; at 50 g, 100 g, 200 g, and 400 g ranges, the modules can also provide shock and vibration measurements to support high-impact landing gear monitoring and testing.
