MEMS Microphones from Akustica

Akustica Inc., Pittsburgh, PA, has added four new HD voice microphones for use in smartphones, tablets, and other consumer electronics. The AKU142, AKU240, AKU342, and AKU440 deliver a 63 dB SNR, a tightly matched ±2 dB sensitivity, and a flat frequency response that meets ±5 dB from 50 Hz to 14 kHz super-wideband requirements. The 2.95 by 3.76 by 1.1 mm, top-port AKU142 and bottom-port AKU342 provide an analog output. The 3.0 by 4.0 by 1.0 mm top-port AKU240 and bottom-port AKU440 provide a digital PDM output. Additional features include matched sensitivity, phase, and frequency response; Faraday-shielded packages for RFI and EMI; and support for ultrasonic frequencies.
