Kionix Inc., Ithaca, NY, offers the dual-axis KGY12 and triaxial KGY13 MEMS gyros and the KXTH9, KXTG9, and KXTI9 triaxial MEMS accelerometers for the consumer devices market. The 5 by 5 by 0.9 mm gyros offer 16-bit digital I2C and SPI outputs over a ±2048°/s measurement range, user-definable bandwidth, embedded temperature sensors, and user-selectable analog outputs of ±128°/s, ±256°/s, ±512°/s, ±1024°/s, and ±2048°/s. The multiplexed, analog KXTH9 offers 150 µg/√Hz typical noise density and a factory-programmable low-pass filter; the digital triaxial KXTG9 offers 2 intelligent user-programmable application interrupts (motion and/or freefall) and SPI and I2C interfaces; and the digital KXTI9 has an I2C interface, nonvolatile memory buffer, user-selectable range, user-selectable output data rate, and user-programmable algorithms.
