The 7049 from Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT) Inc., Middletown, PA, is a MEMS-based accelerometer designed to replace an obsolete mechanical device. The sensor is powered by 20 Vrms, 900 Hz, and outputs a 900 Hz sine-wave signal with an amplitude proportional to the acceleration. The device is environmentally sealed, has rugged construction, and can operate in a range of hostile military environments.
