The GR150 from Standex Electronics, Cincinnati, OH, is a magnetic reed switch that is 3.7 mm long and has a magnetic sensitivity of 2–4 AT. Typical operating time is 0.2 ms typical, release time is 0.1 ms (typ.), switching current is 0.05 A max., DC is standard, and power rating is 1 VA max. Other features include PGM alloy contacts, an operating temperature range of –40°C to 125°C, and a max. carry current rating of 0.5 A. Applications include hearing aids, pill cams, flip or slide phones, and laptop computers.
