The KXR94 from Kionix Inc., Ithaca, NY, is a 5 by 5 by 1.2 mm triaxial accelerometer with a multiplexed analog or digital SPI interface. The device has a ±2 g range, 660 mV/g typical sensitivity, low noise of 20 μg/rt.Hz, supply voltages from 2.5–5.5 V, an internal 1 kHz low-pass filter, –3 dB bandwidth, and the ability to withstand 5000 g of mechanical shock. Applications include navigation for consumer electronics and automotive vehicle stability control.
