Gigahertz-Optik Inc., Newburyport, MA, offers a measurement system to aid in sorting LEDs into bin classes based on luminous flux and color properties. The measurement system consists of the company's BTS256-LED tester, LPS-20-1500 LED power supply, and S-BTS256 software and aids in single-pulse LED binning. The tester measures luminous flux and spectral and color data of single assembled and unassembled LEDs in the visible spectrum, has a 1 ms sampling rate, and operates in fast data logger mode. The LPS-20-1500 microprocessor-based current and voltage source operates up to 1500 mA with 30 µA resolution and up to 24 V with 0.5 mV resolution and is set up for full remote control operation in CW or single-pulse operating mode.
