SA1E Class 1 laser sensors from IDEC Corp., Sunnyvale, CA, are designed to accurately and reliably detect fast-moving and tiny objects, through narrow or limited spaces, or at long distances. The family offers throughbeam, polarized retroreflective, polarized retroreflective for transparent objects, diffuse reflective, small-beam reflective, convergent, and background suppression models. The visible red laser allows for optic axis alignment and precision mounting. Throughbeam models can detect objects up to 30 m away; the polarized retroreflective and background suppression models detect objects up to 10 m and 300 mm away, respectively. Dark on or light on operation is user-selectable.
