The EM4237 steps into the spotlight as the market’s first ISO/IEC15693-compliant IC for anti-counterfeiting and brand protection apps. It provides a universal identity card and an encrypted tamperproof digital certificate to convey quality guarantees worldwide. Using security measures based on public stream cipher technology to safeguard memory data integrity, users can protect the chip’s 2 kb of data memory by setting the appropriate access conditions and access rights. Each EM4237 device contains a unique 64-bit identifier and an optional 32-byte ECC based digital certificate. Other features include a privacy mode that silences the IC to any commands coming from the RFID reader or it can return a random UID number for use during the next transaction.
