TVI40N Series incremental rotary encoders from Pepperl+Fuchs Inc., Twinsburg, OH, have a 40 mm o.d., are IP54-rated, and provide pulse outputs up to 1024 ppr. The encoders offer a tangential cable output, operate at 4.75–30 VDC , and provide short-circuit proof, push-pull output, or 5 VDC operation with RS-422 functionality. A loadable metal disk lets the encoder accept heavy loads without compromising performance.
