The nanotechnology metal oxide semiconductor (NTMOS) hydrogen sulfide gas detector from Detector Electronics (Det-Tronics) Corp., Minneapolis, MN, detects hydrogen sulfide gas in 6 s and is now approved for use in locations that require an IP66/67 rating, such as petrochemical, oil, and gas applications. Suited for gas detection in environments where electrochemical sensing technologies are not preferred, the detector also holds CE, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certifications and is FM tested and certified to ISA-92.0.01.
