The ACS710 from Allegro MicroSystems Inc., is a 120 kHz bandwidth, high-voltage isolation current sensor IC for current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communications systems. The device consists of a precision linear Hall sensor IC with a copper conduction path located near the surface of the silicon die. Applied current flows through the copper conduction path and the analog output voltage from the sensor IC linearly tracks the magnetic current generated by the applied current. Features include proprietary integrated shield technology, user-defined overcurrent fault threshold, 1 milliohm internal resistance of the copper path, and isolation between the conduction path and the voltage sensor inputs and outputs.
